Filipino Spicy Prawns

I have been cooking Filipino recipes lately. Not everyday though, only when I have the ingredients and when I have time. As I've mentioned in my other post days ago, I might cook the prawns with tamarind soup but I decided to cook Filipino Spicy Prawns and here it is now. I didn't have the complete ingredients, I didn't have the chili sauce as written on the recipe that I followed. It's ok coz it turned out good. I loved it.

Here's the Recipe:

Ingredients:
2 pounds prawns (shrimps), shelled
1 onion, chopped
1 piece of ginger root, grated
2 cloves garlic, mashed
2 green chilies, chopped
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
Handful basil leaves, chopped

How to cook Filipino Spicy Prawns:

1. Fry the onions, ginger, garlic and chilies for 3 minutes.
2. Add the prawns and fry 2 minutes more.
3. Add the chili sauce and the soy sauce and cook 2 minutes on high heat.
4. Put the prawns on a plate, pour the sauce over and sprinkle the basil leaves on top.
5. Serve the Filipino Spicy Prawns hot with steamed rice.
