Actually this is not my own recipe. I just copied this from the tamarind mix package. You can copy it if you want to cook also. I just love Sinigang. I might cook fish sinigang and prawn sinigang one of these days. I got tamarind mixes, prawns and milk fish yesterday from an Asian Market here in Arizona. Nways, here's the recipe:
2 1/2lb pork ( Country Style, Pork Ribs) Cut into pieces
10 cups water
1 cup tomato (sliced)
1/2 cup onions (quartered)
2 cups long green beans (cut in to 2" lengths)
patis (fish sauce) to taste
2 cups radish (sliced)
1 pouch tamarind mix
4 pcs long green pepper
2 cups leafy vegetables
Cooking Instruction:
1. In a large pot, bring water and pork to a boil. Add tomatoes, onion, salt and tamarind. Simmer for 1 hour or until pork is tender.
2. Pour the Tamarind Mix. Increase the heat and bring to a rolling boil.
3. Add radish, long green pepper and patis to taste. Cover and simmer for 3 minutes.
4.Add leafy vegetables. Cover to steam cook. Serve hot
