Good night world! Just thought of writing something here before going to bed. My husband is still working at his office, just at the other room/side of the house, that's why I have time still to be here in my page this late. We will go to bed very soon though since it's almost 12 midnight here now. So see you later my blogger friends. Hope we all will have a wonderful weekend!

Safety Tips During Monsoon Season
I went outside earlier today because I noticed that the sky is so cloudy. I took photos at our backyard and then after 2 hours I went back again and took more photos. Living here in Arizona when seeing sky like this is a bit scary. We like rain here because we don't get much but the monsoon is scary. So I look for tips on how to stay safe during this time of the year, the monsoon season.
A Monsoon is caused by a combination of heat and moisture. Arizona is in “Monsoon Season” when there are more then three consecutive days with dew points above 55°. Arizona averages over 50 monsoon days each year and normally occur in July and August. Monsoon storms can range from minor dust storms to violent thunderstorms carrying heavy winds, dry lightening and/or high volume rain. These storms can cause flash floods that are potentially deadly.
If you are caught outdoors during a monsoon storm here are some safety tips:
• Take signs that read “DO NOT ENTER WHEN FLOODED” seriously. All caution signs should be observed and respected. Even if water is rushing across the road or wash looks shallow, it may be very well so deep that even high clearance vehicle will get stuck or washed down stream requiring emergency intervention.
• If driving, slow down and never use your cruise control during a rainstorm. If your vehicle hydroplanes, the cruise control may try to accelerate while the vehicle has uneven traction causing you to lose control.
• To avoid being struck by lightening stay away from open fields, high land, trees, poles, other tall objects and standing bodies of water, including swimming pools. Stay in your home or vehicle if possible.
• Do not huddle closely together with other people spread out.

Life-Saving Tips To Our Children From Parents Magazine
- TEACH THE RIGHT WAY TO ASSIST A STRUGGLING SWIMMER. Instruct your child to first shout for help; if she's 5 or older she can take action - as long as it won't put her in danger. Demonstrate how to help a person in the water by staying on the pool deck and extending your reach with an object like a foam noodle or a pole.
- HAVE A FIRE EVACUATION PLAN. Locate two escape routes from every room and an outdoor meeting place. Stage a fire drill twice a year. Set off the smoke alarm for your child, explaining that it means " Get Out!"Teach him to touch the door to the room with the back of his hand if there is a fire. If it's hot, he should escape through a window, if it's cool, he can open it and crawl to the nearest exit.
- AVOID CORD HAZARDS. You can't teach a baby or a toddler to stay away from strangulation danger, so eliminate this risk by getting cordless shades or blinds. If that's not possible, cut the loop into two strands and use a cord winder or a hook to keep them out of reach.
- PRACTICE DIALING 911. Once your child is 4 or 5, define what an emergency is, so he knows not to phone the numbers as a game. Then try role-playing "Mom hit her head and won't wake up. What should you do? " Have him press the numbers on a toy phone, then rehearse a call. Teach him to answer the operator's questions and not hang up until she says to.Then post the number in an easy-to-see area by the phone.

As I've mentioned in my other post days ago, I might cook the prawns with tamarind soup but I decided to cook Filipino Spicy Prawns and here it is now. I didn't have the complete ingredients, I didn't have the chili sauce as written on the recipe that I followed. It's ok coz it turned out good. I loved it. Here's the Recipe:

Handful basil leaves, chopped
How to cook Filipino Spicy Prawns:
1. Fry the onions, ginger, garlic and chilies for 3 minutes.
2. Add the prawns and fry 2 minutes more.
3. Add the chili sauce and the soy sauce and cook 2 minutes on high heat.
4. Put the prawns on a plate, pour the sauce over and sprinkle the basil leaves on top.
5. Serve the Filipino Spicy Prawns hot with steamed rice.

Acne Cleanser
I was thinking to send acne cleanser to my brother in the Philippines but of all things, it's the only one I forgot. I forgot to put it inside the box when I was packing. Now the package is on it's way to my family but it will take 2 months or so to arrive. I just remembered it because last night when I was talking to my sister, she asked me what things did I sent to my brother. He would love it for sure but I just didn't remember to include in the box.

Green Mango and Shrimp Paste

I got my green mango from costco and shrimp paste from Lee Lee Oriental Supermarket, an Asian Market. I just love eating this since when I was a kid. It's so yummy especially when there's chili on it. And I have chili's here too so just perfect, also from Lee Lee. Gosh! It makes me so happy when I get to eat foods that I loooooooooooove to eat. Hmmmm!! My mouth waters right now and wanna eat again but my mangos are already ripe. I have to wait until Saturday to buy some more at costco. Hopefully they will have green mango again. Sometimes they have ripe mango already.

Do You Own A Motorhome?
When you own a motorhome, you can't avoid those times when problems occurs. It is part of owning one to experience motor home repairs. It feels good when everything is going smooth. Driving from one place to another but when you have no choice but to bring it to the repair company, that's the time when you know you have real problem. You will need money to pay for it. And we all know that it is not that cheap. Hundreds and even thousands direct from our pocket unless we have insurance.

Refrigerator Filters
Couple months ago we had problem with our refrigerator at the kitchen. We thought it might be the filter so we were gonna buy at the local store. We know exactly where to buy refrigerator filters but before buying it, we decided to call a professional who knows about the problem. Since we were not so sure if it was the filter. We had to do what we think is smart way or else our foods and other products inside the fridge will be wasted. Well, we did the right decision, the fridge worked again without waiting for days.

Safer Way To Smoke
I wish I could just stop my dad from smoking. I know it is not good to everyone's health and I worry for him. Sometimes he stops smoking when he's sick and his doctor tells him not to smoke but it only last for days. He keeps doing it again and again by the time he feels well. I don't know if there are electric cigarettes available in the Philippines so he can just use it instead of the traditional cigarettes. I know that electric cigarette's taste is like the real one. I knew it because I once read it somewhere. It would be nice to smoke without worrying of those harmful side effects.

Where To Buy Industrial Equipments
The best thing to do when we need something but we just don't know where to get or buy it is to search online. Anything that we need are available online. From car accessories, industrial equipment and even baby products. We can find almost everything at online stores. I am quite comfortable with online shopping because it saves me time. No more going to many stores when we couldn't find what we are looking. Another reason why I really like when I shop online is I can compare prices without going anywhere.

Wanting To Workout Again
It's been a while now since the last time I went to the gym for exercise. I workout every week nights with my husband until the night before Mackenzie was born. Honestly, I missed those times because I get regular exercise and I get to spend time with Jeff away from work. But it's not the same anymore. I have a baby now and it's my responsibility to take care of her.
Sometimes it makes me think that the best thing to do is to buy a treadmill so I can exercise here at home. Then I look online for treadmills but then I'm thinking it is not the right time to buy one. Money is tight and we have priorities to take care of this time.

How Long Should I Take Prenatal Vitamins?
I have been taking prenatal vitamin as prescribed by my ob-gyn when I was more or less 3 months pregnant. I am still taking it until now that my baby is almost 9 months old. I just keep refilling at the pharmacy and I got one last refill for this month. So I'm gonna call my ob-gyn soon to ask if I still need more refills. It says in my prescribed vitamin bottle refill that no refills and need doctors auth. I know that I can take them as long as I'm nursing my baby and I still am. That's what I understand from my online reading.

Advantages Of Steel Buildings
I wonder how it feels like to live in a house made up of steel. I bet it is the same with normal houses. May be it will only differ on the life span of certain buildings. I think they're long lasting than houses like what we normally see everywhere.
I research the advantages of steel buildings and I learned that the cost is lower compared to traditional buildings, the weight is lighter, easier to maintain and reduced risk of fire and it is easier and faster to build. Most of all, strength is a major plus for steel. Steel structures can withstand unfavorable weather conditions such as hurricanes, high winds, heavy snow and even earthquakes. They are also resistant to termites, creeping, cracks, splitting and rotting, thus increasing durability.

Filipino Foods That I Miss So Much
Honestly, Many many Filipino foods that I miss so much. It makes me wanna cry when I think of those foods and I just couldn't have when I want. Am I like a baby? I think so!!I can't help it but think of those foods that I will never ever trade with any other food. Sometimes my husband will ask me why I don't like American food yet. It's not that I don't like, it's just that it's the food that I have been eating for 24 years. Then I asked him back, would you love our food compared to your food? He then say, no!!
Anyway, the photo below is one of my favorite food that I really really miss. I can't wait to have a bite again. Not only a bite coz I'm gonna have a mountain of rice and couple chicken haha. Just kidding!!

Looking Forward To Our Next House
I have mentioned couple times here in my page about buying a newer house. That plan of ours were no exact date. But recently, Jeff and I talked about moving out next year before visiting Philippines. My husband asked me first If I want to move before or after our vacation. And I said right away, before the vacation. hehe! So let's see if it will happen next year. We really want so bad but we couldn't just sell and leave this house right now for some reasons.
We are so excited though every time we talk about it. We both want to buy a house together as husband and wife and as a family. Then Jeff told me that I can decorate and arrange every thing in the house as I want. From paint color and things that we want to have inside and outside. I told him that I want modern furniture because they look elegant and simple. Husband just said, okay! I hate having too much things and looks messy. I would rather have simple house but clean. Hmmm!! Now I am imagining how our next house will look like.

Watching TV Before Bed Time Relaxes My Husband
My husband Jeff is used to watching tv before bed time. It makes him fall asleep after a while. I noticed it since we first met 3 years ago when he visited me in Philippines. At first I couldn't sleep because I was use to listening music and the room should be totally dark. I didn't complain of course and I am use to it now. In our bed room and even our other tv's in most parts of the house we use an old tv to make it as our tv stands. Our bed is so high so it's just right height for us to watch tv comfortably. No need to sit or put lots of pillows.

Do You Own An Ipad?
I don't have an Ipad but I would really love to own one. I like the product really but as of now it's not our priority. We have a newborn baby and in today's economy, we have to be careful in spending every single penny we have. Anyway, for those who have an ipad, you should get an ipad insurance. Why? It's because it will protect it against damage, theft, cracked screen and any other accidents. The insurance will shoulder the cost of the ipad depending on what coverage you will get. This is great! You will always have peace of mind and worry free while you own an ipad. So get an insurance now before it's too late.

Gulf Coast Jones Act
As what I've learned, Jones Act is a merchant marine act of 1920, sponsored by Senator Wesley L. Jones of Washington. It is to ensure the workers compensation rights for sailors working on United States of America ships. While working on sea vessels, accident happens unexpectedly and when that time happens, you can't work and your life will not be the same anymore. That's why there are lawyers for Gulf Coast Jones Act who will help you fight for your rights. You deserve a compensation especially for your medication. So if you ever get injury from working offshore, contact a maritime lawyer immediately.

Do I Need A Weight Loss Product?
The last time I talked to one of my older sister, she told me that she saw our recent pictures and she asked me how much weight I have now. My sister Ana told me that she can tell I gained a lot of weight from those photos. She was trying to tell me about a weight loss product. It made me asked her right away, do I really look fat? And she just laughed. I told her that I think it is only in pictures because honestly I don't look so huge in person. I hope not really, they're not used of my new body figure now and so do I. This is the first time that I gained so much weight in my entire life.

What is Irvingia Gabonesis?
Every time I read or hear something that I don't know, the very first thing I do is search it online. While I was surfing the net, I read about irvingia. It is a west African tree and is commonly called as wild mango tree, African mango or bush mango. There are three main benefits that we can get out of it, for weight loss, high cholesterol and elevate blood sugar levels. Recent studies have shown that irvingia has these 3 significant benefits. Irvingia Gabonesis bears edible mango-like fruits, and are especially valued for their fat and protein rich nuts. I am curious about this tree and I am trying to search what it looks like, I might saw this tree before.

I'm here in bed right now watching movies and listening to music while waiting for my husband Jeff. He's doing some work before going to bed as his normal routine. I'm a bit tired from grocery shopping the whole afternoon. Saturday is always our schedule for that. Our little angel Mackenzie was so tired also and now sleeping. Since I couldn't sleep yet, I'm gonna blog hop to make use of my time. Sounds good to me!!

My Brother Suffers Acne
My younger brother suffers acne since he reached adolescence and now he is twenty one. I don't think he tried any products to get rid of those pimples. I haven't seen him treating them. He just keep washing his face with soap and water. Maybe he really need a stronger product to make them go away. I can tell him that but I can't tell him exactly what product to use because I haven't use any. I'm gonna let him search online for the best treatment for adult acne himself so he can choose the product that he would like to apply on his face. Honestly, I feel bad for him because his pimples are too bad. It looks painful and I wish I know what product can treat them right away.

Make Slide Show With Smilebox
Sometimes I get lazy to send cards to my love ones during holidays or their birthdays. It's not that I don't care for them or I have no time to do it, it's just that I don't like when they don't receive it. I have mailed couple cards to my family back home and they didn't receive it. So from that time on, I told myself that never again. The problem is not here in the US postal but in the Philippines.
But I figured out something different to still let them know that I love and care for them without sending cards. I do send them e-cards and sometimes a slide show of our pictures together. I think it's faster and easier way. I would love to receive it if it was me. My sister did love it when I sent her one on her birthday. My husband does too.

Have a fun and happy Independence Day America. Hope all of us will celebrate the United States birthday with peace, joy and safety. We'll be going to the swimming pool that day with our little princess We will have some barbecue, hot dogs and hamburgers. We just need to wait a little later that day because the temperature here in Arizona is so high. I hate to get sun burn and not good for our baby. I'm excited because it's been almost 9 months since the last time I went swimming. It will be Mackenzie's first time to be in the pool also and I know she will love it. Wohoo!!

Anti Aging Supplements
It is very hard to just trust on products nowadays. We don't know what to use and what not to use out of those thousands of products claiming the same benefits. There may be anti aging supplement that can be trusted but one thing is for sure, not all of them are. So we need to be careful of what we are gonna be taking because it can affect our health. We might end up dead because of trying to be young looking.

Branson Vacation Packages
When we think of vacation, it is about having fun, relaxing, spending time with our love ones. Now that I am married and have a daughter, I think that vacation is being with my family. Doing something enjoyable with my husband and our angel. I can't imagine myself being away without them. Everything that we do is for all of us. We don't go to places where only me or my husband will enjoy. We always make sure that our daughter will do.
If a year ago, we went to New York where we had lots of walking, next time would be somewhere where Mackenzie can play and enjoy. A place where the whole family can have vacation. After going to the Philippines next year, then we can go to a vacation somewhere here in the US. While surfing the net, I came across Branson, a vacation destination for us to visit. I found a Branson vacation packages which I think is a very nice place and the prices are very reasonable. Imagine this, $49 for 3 nights and 2 days vacation with a $50 for attraction tickets. Can you believe that? It's amazing prices really!

Pirate Costumes For Any Occasions
I don't really wear costumes because I don't go to a costume party or something like that. But during last year's Halloween, we were gonna buy for me and Mackenzie. We just didn't do it because she was only days old that time. She was born 8 days before the Halloween. We'll do it this year for sure. We just need to buy costumes ahead of time so we can choose what costumes we would like to wear. This will be my very first time also just like Mackenzie, I might look for a pirate costumes or something cute for me and my baby. We still have 4 months to look around so there's enough time to prepare. Am I too early to mention this topic or what? Just excited for my little princess.

A Place To Buy A Computer Case For My Laptop
Since my husband and I bought this laptop that I am using right now, we didn't buy a bag for this. When we went to New York last year for a vacation, we had to bring this laptop and we just use an old bag and it was funny because just in time when we arrived at the airport, one side of the straps broke. We manage to still use it even coming back here because there were two straps. I know it did broke from being old. haha!!
So now, I am wanting to buy a new case for my laptop but I want a cheap one. I don't want to spend too much just for the case. I already found a place where I can buy it. It is a website for promotional items where the things are very affordable. I'm not gonna use it yet until December maybe but it's better to have it ready in case we will need it sooner.
